The young talent from Treviso, a standout at the Federal Supercourse and the 2025 Steering Wheel Award by Wolf Racing Cars held last November at the Magione circuit, is eagerly preparing for his first season in car racing, building on a brilliant karting career: "I won’t set any limits for myself.".
Giacomo Maman will be one of the stars of the 2025 Italian Sport Prototypes Championship. Hailing from Motta di Livenza, in the province of Treviso, the 16-year-old comes from a family with a long tradition in motorsport: his grandfather Aldo and his father Simone were successful drivers, passing down their passion for racing to him from an early age. Unsurprisingly, his first kart was a gift for his third birthday.
A rising career
Giacomo's debut in karting came at just 7 years old in pre-competitive categories. Success quickly followed: in 2021, he placed fifth in the Rock CAT Junior World Championship, and in 2022 he secured four victories, finishing third in the ACI Sport Italian Championship Junior category. In 2023, he claimed his first win in the OKN Italian Championship before moving up to KZ2. Initially planned as a learning season, his time in KZ2 turned out to be highly competitive, consistently placing in the top 10 until an injury interrupted his progress.
Stepping into cars and recent achievements
At the end of 2024, Maman was selected by the Federal School to participate in the prestigious Federal Supercourse at Vallelunga, where he showcased remarkable talent. He later took part in the Steering Wheel Award organized by Wolf Racing Cars, excelling behind the wheel of the Wolf GB08 Raiden with the fastest lap time.
The year 2025 will not only mark his debut in the Italian Sports Prototype Championship but also the beginning of his collaboration with the Wolf Academy, where Giacomo will have the chance to further hone his skills.
Comments from Giacomo and the Team
“I’m very happy and proud to take part in the CISP,” Giacomo said. “Being part of the Wolf Academy is an honor. I’m ready to work hard and gain experience, though I won’t set limits for myself. I know there are high expectations, especially after my performance in the contest.”
Giovanni Bellarosa, Team Principal of Wolf Racing Cars, also expressed great enthusiasm:
“We are thrilled to announce Giacomo’s entry into the Italian Sport Prototypes Championship. During testing, he proved to have the talent and determination necessary to compete at a high level. The testing program, starting on February 26-27, will be crucial to preparing him, but we’re confident he can aim for the championship win right away.”
With a strong foundation and the support of an excellent team, 2025 promises to be a year full of excitement and opportunities for Giacomo Maman.
