HALO by Wolf Racing Cars: FIA-Homologated safety, available for constructors and teams
Designed and built entirely at Wolf Racing Cars’ headquarters in compliance with FIA Standard 8869-2018, the new HALO system delivers the highest level of protection for racing cars.

With the new HALO by Wolf Racing Cars, the Italian manufacturer introduces a state-of-the-art protection device, engineered to provide drivers with maximum safety under all racing conditions — and now also available to teams and third-party constructors.
Fully developed and manufactured in-house, the Wolf HALO is made from high-strength alloy steel, capable of withstanding loads exceeding 12.7 tonnes in both vertical and lateral directions — matching the standards required for Formula 1 testing.
“The HALO is a safety component on the same level as a helmet or a seat belt,” explains Angelo Sala, Wolf’s Technical Director. “Our challenge was to integrate this level of protection into more compact and lightweight structures, while maintaining maximum stiffness and reliability.”
Homologated under FIA Standard 8869-2018, the HALO system by Wolf Racing Cars has successfully passed all structural and production tests, earning official FIA approval.
Wolf is now the fifth manufacturer worldwide authorized to produce and supply certified HALO systems.
The device is already integrated into the Wolf GB08 Thunder, Wolf GB08 Extreme, and Wolf GB08 Mistral models (and is standard equipment on the Wolf GB08 Raiden), but it is also available for installation on chassis and projects from other manufacturers, either as a ready-to-use solution or as a basis for custom integration.
From design to manufacturing, every phase is carried out internally — a process that allows Wolf Racing Cars to ensure total control over quality, precision, and FIA compliance.
