Polish rising star Iwo Beszterda, 16, is set to make his debut in the 2026 Italian Sport Prototypes Championship (CISP) after being selected through the Steering Wheel Award promoted by Wolf Racing Cars and joining the Wolf Academy programme.
An International talent developed between Poland and Italy
Born in Kościan, Poland, on April 2, 2009, Iwo Beszterda discovered his passion for motorsport at just three years old, when he first stepped into a kart. In 2014, aged only five, he secured his first international victory by winning the EasyKart International Grand Finals in Lignano Sabbiadoro—an early milestone that signalled a career destined to unfold on the European stage.
Over the years, he has built an impressive résumé of titles and standout performances.

In 2022, he was the only Polish driver selected for the FIA Karting Academy Trophy, securing an outstanding third place overall—confirmation of his international calibre.

Steering Wheel Award and entry into the Wolf Academy
Participation in the Steering Wheel Award marked another key step forward. Iwo impressed the technical panel with his natural speed, refined grip management and strong composure in comparative sessions—qualities that earned him selection and a place within the Wolf Academy.
CISP Debut: a strategic step forward
The 2026 season will mark Beszterda’s structured transition to prototype racing with his debut in the Italian Sport Prototypes Championship—an important strategic milestone in his international development pathway.

On-Track preparation: Binetto and Varano
Following initial classroom activities at the Wolf Racing Cars headquarters, Iwo began his on-track preparation with test sessions at Binetto as part of the Academy programme.
The work then continued at the Riccardo Paletti circuit in Varano de’ Melegari, where drivers were split into two groups to maximise individual development time aboard the Wolf GB08 Raiden ahead of the 2026 CISP campaign.
In wet conditions, Beszterda set the benchmark lap time of the day, standing out for his grip management, braking sensitivity and ability to interpret the evolving track surface as it dried—an especially valuable proving ground that underlined his technical maturity.
Beyond outright pace, the focus was on long-run simulations, start procedures, tyre management and technical debriefing with engineers—fundamental elements in the build-up to his season debut.
