Iwo Beszterda is the winner of the 2026 Guglielmo Belotti Memorial, the award presented to the driver who has distinguished himself through fairness and sportsmanship during the Italian Sports Prototype Championship season. It is a prize that goes beyond results on track, celebrating values that have always been an integral part of motorsport.
Speed, talent and results are fundamental elements of racing. But there is also another side to competition, built on respect for rivals, fair play and the way a driver conducts himself both on and off the track.
It is in this spirit that the Guglielmo Belotti Memorial was created by the Bellarosa family in memory of Guglielmo, the Bergamo-born racing driver and General Manager of Stilo, who was closely associated with Avelon Formula for more than a decade and passed away in 2021 at the age of just 55 following a long illness.
Throughout the championship, Beszterda has stood out not only for his performances on track, but also for the attitude he has shown at every round: respect for his rivals, fairness in wheel-to-wheel battles and a sporting spirit that fully embodies the meaning of the Memorial.
The award keeps the memory of Guglielmo Belotti alive through what meant most to him: his passion for racing and a way of experiencing motorsport in which competition was always accompanied by respect.
Beszterda will receive the traditional miniature replica of Guglielmo Belotti’s helmet, the symbol of an award that, season after season, serves as a reminder that in motorsport a driver’s value is measured by more than just the stopwatch. The trophy will be presented at the final round of the season in Monza by Rita Belotti, Guglielmo’s wife.
Before Iwo Beszterda, the Memorial was awarded to Michele Locatelli in 2025.
