The first four days of official testing for the Wolf Academy programme came to an end on Thursday 5 February, following on-track action at the Binetto circuit from Monday 2 to Thursday 5 February.
An intense and highly educational test session that saw the eight drivers selected by Wolf Racing Cars fully involved in a comprehensive technical and sporting development programme ahead of the 2026 Italian Sport Prototypes Championship.
Over the course of the sessions, the Wolf Academy drivers completed a significant mileage, focusing on learning and optimising the Wolf GB08 Raiden package — the car they will campaign in the upcoming Italian season. These tests proved fundamental to gaining a deep understanding of the car’s behaviour, set-up work and overall management under real working conditions.
The overall outcome of the first four days was extremely positive:
all drivers passed with flying colours, showcasing strong maturity, adaptability and an already very high level of competitiveness.
At the top of the Top 5 timesheets was Andrea Dell’Edera, who delivered a particularly solid performance, ahead of Czech driver Richard Sopuch, Polish talent Iwo Beszterda, Romanian Alex Rad, and Alex Laghezza, all of whom were closely matched in highly competitive and hard-fought sessions.
The Wolf Academy programme continues without pause, with the next on-track activities scheduled for 11 and 13 February at Varano de’ Melegari, where the development work will carry on with the clear objective of reaching the start of the 2026 Italian Prototype Championship with an even stronger technical and sporting foundation.
Wolf Racing Cars therefore continues to invest decisively in young talent, combining training, performance and true racing DNA, with the Academy playing an increasingly central role within the brand’s sporting project.
