The Bergamo-based engineer joins the national grid as reigning 2024 Legend Cars Master World Champion
Michele Locatelli, born in 1984, a civil engineer and racing driver from Bergamo, is officially joining the 2025 Italian Sports Prototype Championship grid.
Despite entering the world of motorsport later than most, Locatelli has built a strong and consistent racing career. After several successful seasons in karting—highlighted by winning the KZ4 Zone 1 Regional Championship in 2017 and the Italian Interregional Team Championship in 2018—he made his debut in the Legend Cars series in 2022, quickly catching the eye of insiders and fans alike.
In 2024, he reached the pinnacle of his Legend Cars journey, clinching the Legend Cars Master World Champion title at Virginia International Raceway (USA), cementing his place among the best in the category on a global scale.
For 2025, Locatelli is gearing up for a highly ambitious season: he will continue competing in the Legend Cars Italia Trophy – PRO category, but the major milestone will be his step up to the Italian Sports Prototype Championship, driving the high-performance Wolf GB08 Raiden.
“My goal is to keep improving in a highly technical and ultra-competitive environment like the Italian prototype series, especially behind the wheel of the Wolf GB08 Raiden,” said Locatelli.
