Young talent Filippo Lazzaroni from Brescia is ready to get back on track in the Italian Sport Prototypes Championship, this time with a clear goal in mind: fighting for the title.
Born in 2001, Lazzaroni is no stranger to the category. He competed in three full seasons between 2020 and 2022, with a best overall finish of fourth place in 2021. After a brief but noteworthy appearance in 2024—when he stepped in for reigning champion Emil Hellberg in the season finale at Monza—Lazzaroni is now set for a full-time return in 2025.
“This year I’ll be one of the key players in the Italian Sport Prototype Championship, and I can’t wait to hit the track! I’m really excited to take on this new challenge with a revamped race format and a completely reworked car,” said Lazzaroni.
The driver expressed strong confidence in the technical work carried out by Wolf Racing Cars:
“The Bellarosa family has made huge strides in developing this car, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity they’ve given me.”
Lazzaroni knows he’ll be up against tough competition, but he’s confident in his ability to rise to the challenge, thanks to the maturity and technical growth he’s achieved in recent years:
“The level of the championship has grown exponentially, especially heading into 2025, and I’m sure it’s going to be an exciting season. My goal is to fight for the title—compared to previous seasons, I’ve made major progress both technically and mentally. That will give me a real edge in what’s shaping up to be a competitive and thrilling year.”
He also shared a message of gratitude:
“A huge thank you to my parents and to my sponsors, who continue to support me on this journey. And best of luck to everyone involved!”
With determination, experience, and a more competitive car than ever before, Filippo Lazzaroni is ready to write a new chapter in his racing career. The 2025 Italian Sport Prototype Championship promises to be more hotly contested than ever, and the young driver from Brescia is aiming to be right in the mix.
Giovanni Bellarosa, CEO of Wolf Racing Cars, commented:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Filippo back as a championship contender. He’s already shown great speed and maturity, and we’re confident he can take another big step forward this year. His enthusiasm is contagious, as is his determination. At Wolf Racing Cars, we’ve worked hard to deliver a car worthy of an increasingly competitive championship, and seeing young talents like Lazzaroni return with such a strong will to win is a real source of pride for us.”
